Welcome to the Caludon Castle Revision Website -
Start your revision in good time -
Plan your revision highlighting the subject you are least confident in -
Include details on specific topics not just general areas like ‘Maths’ -
Put the dates of exams and coursework deadlines onto your revision timetable -
Chunk your revision into small sections – doing over an hour at a time will not be productive -
Plan in time for relaxation -
Allow yourself some time off -
Try having quiet music the background -
Don’t revise to the TV or the radio -
Make sure you have a comfortable area where you can spread your work out -
Make sure the area is not too hot or too cold and that it has some fresh air -
Ensure you have a drink available -
Memory cards – use small cards to write key facts on. You can then test your knowledge using these or carry them with you on days out etc. -
Mind maps – laying ideas out diagrammatically and linking relevant sections together -
Imagery – Drawing images to represent ideas or using colour to underline key facts and figures -
Make sure you are clear about when your exams are and what time you need to be there -
Be clear about how long each exam will last -
Make sure you have all the equipment for the exam -
Take a drink in with you to sip -
Read through your notes before the exam if you think it will help you -
Make sure you eat before your exam as if you are hungry you may find it distracting > Click here for KS3 Exam Timetable > Click here for KS4 Exam Timetable back to the top |
