Enterprise Bulletins | Enterprise Experience

Caludon Castle School achieved Business and Enterprise Status in September 2004. This has enabled our students to explore new skills, engage in the discovery of business and enterprise related issues and embark on many new challenges both within school and with our neighbouring schools in the North East Federation and Coventry-wide. We have also worked closely with our primary partners and with local business and community organisations as well as supporting a secondary school in Sierra Leone. Recently, we achieved Young Chamber of Commerce status, the Economics, Business and Enterprise Association Quality Mark and have been appointed to lead all Coventry learners in the new BAF diploma. Ofsted recently rated Enterprise education as ‘outstanding’.

We see Enterprise as developing business and financial knowledge, learning skills and making ideas happen. Our aim is to contribute to whole school improvement by developing innovative, interactive, challenging approaches to teaching and learning which will enrich and extend learning opportunities by encouraging economic and business understanding and enterprise activities. Our students are also encouraged to follow a wide range of Work Related Learning pathways.
Students are encouraged to make contact with local businesses and organisations throughout their studies to assist in the completion of Portfolio work and to increase their awareness of the world of work. The Faculty has built up links with a number of national and local organisations such as:
- Cadbury’s
- Drayton Manor
- Federation of Small Business
- Coventry Transport Museum
- IBM
- HSBC
- Coventry Building Society
- RBS Nat West
