We believe in PERSONALISED LEARNING
To make personalised learning work we:
• encourage students to develop key enterprise skills and attitudes such as decision making,
• innovative thinking, team work and promoting social responsibility.
• provide every teacher with data on every student in their teaching group.
• track student progress regularly, rigorously and individually.
• ensure Assessment for Learning becomes embedded in all subjects.
• ensure timetables are individualised to meet student needs.
• wherever possible, students are given curriculum choices.
We:
• listen to students to find out how they learn best
• celebrate achievement through rewards.
• provide independent, impartial careers advice and guidance enhanced through working
• towards Investors in Careers.
and TRACKING STUDENT PROGRESS
Last year the development and implementation of the Assessment Manager system facilitated the collection, monitoring and analysis of target, progress and Attitude to Learning data.
To enable students to fulfil their potential we:
• ensure that data collected on students is reliable and accurate, through regular and rigorous
• moderation and monitoring procedures.
• set targets that are aspirational, yet realistically attainable.
• identify, at key points in the year, the progress that a student is making in relation to their
• target and ensure that this is linked with ATL data.
• use data collected to inform directly the nature and members of specific intervention groups.
• use Target Setting and Review events and student reports to communicate progress and
• tracking information, along with areas for development to students and parents.
